Natural edge charcuterie board made with sustainably sourced Black Walnut from southeastern Minnesota. The board features an inset tray with a 3/8” lip, inlay with three small blue glass beads, and a small Soft Maple bowl. Sealed with nontoxic, food safe Walnut Oil and Beeswax mix, the board is a one-of-a-kind handmade object for entertaining guests.

A little history
I love Black Walnut—from furniture to serving food, it is a gorgeous wood to work with and use.
I got the idea to make charcuterie boards from oddly shaped scraps last year and our family has put the initial prototype I made to good use ever since.
A board like this makes food look tasty and inviting.
Don’t worry about putting food directly on the board, even if it stains (which tomato juice does, I can tell you from experience), as any marks just enhance the wood and give you a good story to tell later.
