Charcuterie Boards

All manner of scraps or weirdly shaped pieces of wood have become boards on which to serve delectable food.

Charcuterie Boards

The idea for making charcuterie boards came from my sister, who wondered if, when I was looking through lumber, if I could keep an eye out for a visually interesting piece that might make a nice board. We talked about the features she wanted and I thought to myself, how hard could that be?

In the time since then, I've made a variety of charcuterie boards from Black Walnut, Cherry, and even Red Cedar. The shapes are derived from the lumber—some are curved, others straight, some have knots and whirls while others feature natural edges.
